Working Principle of Fluid Clarification & Separation

The operation of a clarifying decanter centrifuge relies on the exact synchronization of intense centrifugal force and mechanical scrolling.

  1. Slurry Feed: The suspension is introduced into the center of the rotating solid bowl via a stationary feed pipe, where it is accelerated smoothly by the feed distributor.
  2. Centrifugal Sedimentation: Under high G-force operations, the heavier solid particles are flung outward against the inner cylindrical-conical bowl wall, forming a dense sediment layer.
  3. Continuous Cake Transport: The internal scroll conveyor rotates at a precisely controlled differential speed ($\Delta n$), continuously pushing the settled solids toward the dry beach at the narrow conical end for automated discharge.
